Mentor UPP, Mentor Undergraduate Peer Partnering, is a mentoring and networking program designed to cultivate relationships between first-year students and upperclassmen in an effort to increase involvement, retention, and confidence in the newest members of the College of Engineering. First-year students (Peer Mentees) are matched in groups with one to two upperclassmen (Peer Mentors), who provide a support system and offer assistance and information to the Peer Mentees to help them adapt to campus and college life at UA. Peer Mentees are encouraged to complete their first and sophomore years in Mentor UPP, then give back to future students as Peer Mentors.
